Prepare to be judged: LE Miami 2013 Awards announced

Taking place on the closing night of the event, the awards will recognise the rebellious pioneers driving the travel industry to new heights. A high profile panel comprising influential architect Matteo Thun, fashion design duo Augustin Teboul, Mr Porter Editor-in-Chief Jeremy Langmead, interior designers Roman & Williams and DJ and It Girl Chelsea Leyland, will choose the winners.

LE Miami has designed eleven inventive categories that reflect the spirit of the ‘creative class’. These are:
1.    Greatest innovation / disruption
2.    Most original campaign
3.    Best partnership
4.    Best interaction with neighbourhood
5.    Most up-and-coming journalist or blogger
6.    Best renovation / reinvention
7.    Sexiest hotel
8.    Most innovative food / beverage
9.    Best design
10.  Best guest experience
11.  Most influential person in contemporary travel

All LE Miami exhibitors will be invited to submit applications between February 22 and March 31. The Awards panel will judge the first ten categories and the LE Miami collective, while the winner of the ‘Most influential person in contemporary travel’ category will be decided via social media.

The LE Miami luxury travel trade show will take place from June 10 - 13 in Miami South Beach, and will feature talks from visionary thinkers including marketer and best-selling author Seth Godin, lighting designer Thierry Dreyfus, food designer Frøystad+Klock, hotelier Carlos Couturier and Design Hotels founder Claus Sendlinger.
